Appointments
Instructions and important information for booking and canceling one-on-one meetings for CSE 331 Fall 2018.
This is a beta feature
We are rolling out one-on-one meetings for the first time in CSE 331 this fall so apologies in advance for all the bugs that we would need to iron out as the semester proceeds. If you spot a bug, please either post on piazza or email cse-331-staff@buffalo.edu
. Thanks in advance for your patience and help!
Instructions for booking appointments
Follow these instructions to book one-on-one appointments with a TA (for a slot of 10 minutes).
- Go to the course calendar and search for a desired meeting time slot. You can only pick the office hours that are marked as 1-on-1.
We are starting off small
To start off with, we will have 30 slots per week. If this turns out to be popular, we will increase the number of one-on-one meeting slots later in the semester.
- Then proceed to the course appointment calendar and select the time slot matching the desired time from the course calendar (from step 1). Make sure to book the appointment using your buffalo.edu account.
- Click “Save” to book the appointment and remember to meet your TA on time! You’ll also be able to view the appointment on your own google calendar now.
You must use your buffalo.edu accounts to book appointments
- This helps to ensure that the staff can identify which student is booking the appointment.
- All non- buffalo.edu appointments will be canceled.
You are only allowed to sign up for a max of 1 appointment per week
- If you sign up for more than 1 appointment in a calendar week, we will not know which appointment you intend to attend which will result in us canceling all of your appointments for the week.
- There are only a limited number of available appointments per week. Please be courteous so that your fellow classmates can book appointments as well.
- If you feel that you need additional help, please attend general office hours!
Come prepared with questions
- The most effective way to use the 10 minute meeting is to come already prepared with your questions
- We also recommend saving programming related questions for general office hours.
Instructions for canceling one-on-one appointments
Follow these instructions to delete your previously booked appointment.
- Go to your google calendar.
- Find your appointment time, select it, and then click “remove from calendar”
- When prompted to send cancellation to guests, click send and you’re done!
In the event that you have to cancel your appointment
Please do so as early as possible so that your fellow students may have a chance to book the time!
