I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Department of Computer Science and Engineering, at State University of New York at Buffalo. My advisor is Prof. Sheng Zhong. My current research interests include data privacy, and wireless networks with an emphasis on incentive compatibility issues. I received my M.S. degree and B.S. degree both in Computer Science and Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 2006 and 2004 respectively.

I have worked on some research projects on different topics of data privacy and incentive compatible protocols in wireless networks.
- Data privacy.
To protect data privacy especially in the distributed computing environment, we apply cryptographic approaches to provide provably secure protocols for different tasks :
1) Designed the first privacy preserving back-propagation learning algorithms for multi-layer neural networks with vertically partitioned data. 2) Built a cryptographic protocol for private matching, in which users can find their desired partners without revealing the requirements and profiles to each other. 3) Proposed a hybrid approach to enhance the privacy of the databases to be released, with a combination of two existing techniques, k-anonymity and randomization.
- Incentive compatibility in wireless networks.
1) Designed and built a credit-based incentive scheme to stimulate the packet forwarding among selfish user nodes in Delay Tolerant Networks. 2) Designed and built a perfectly fair channel assignment scheme for multi-radio multi-channel wireless networks, despite that user nodes are non-cooperative and selfish in maximizing their own throughput. 3) Participated in designing the first incentive compatible opportunistic routing protocol, which significantly improves overall network throughput in presence of selfish nodes.
